Design & Presence
The Candied Marble Dining Table pairs mineral mass with sculptural timber geometry. Proportioned at 2100mm long by 1000mm deep with a standard 750mm height, its softly contoured silhouette comfortably seats six to eight guests. Twin architectural solid wood pedestal pillars anchor the piece beneath, maximizing perimeter legroom and eliminating corner leg obstruction so chairs tuck cleanly beneath the table.
The monolithic marble tabletop is reinforced from below by a concealed heavy-duty timber sub-chassis. Solid wood mounting frames and steel cross-bracing distribute the substantial mineral weight evenly down into the dual cylindrical timber pedestals. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joints lock the heavy vertical timber pillars into weighted floor plates, forming a tip-resistant, rigid foundation designed to handle continuous daily hospitality.
Honed perimeter arrises offer a smooth, cool touch under forearm contact during leisurely dinners. Sealed with an invisible penetrating protective treatment, the marble resists deep stains and liquid absorption while preserving its natural tactile veining. Conceived, resolved, and custom-made by NICCHRIS in Malaysia, the Candied Marble table introduces enduring architectural gravitas into contemporary dining spaces.
